I have found many people overlook this part of the blog which is often more interesting than the original post!

My blog nick-name is SIR HUGH. I'm not from the aristocracy - my middle name is Hugh which relates to the list of 282 hills in Scotland compiled by Sir Hugh Munro in 1891. I climbed my last one (Sgurr Mor) on 28th June 2009

Day 3 - Worth Mattravers to Lulworth Cove - Friday 5th Sept

Last night I had good chat with mine host David Ensor. He is a keen photographer and has made many treks in Nepal and China with superb photo results. Some of his treks he has organised, and he has been involved in charitable enterprises for local communities out there. His website is worth a look and you can pick up contact addresses for the B and B there.. I am intending to purchase a brilliant photo of Annapurna when I get home. www.davidensorphotos.co.uk

After eating (by prior arrangement - this a super B and B), I walked the couple of hundred yards to the Square and Compass, a pub many people had mentioned to me since arriving in this part of the world. The main adjective used is "quirky". It is a very old traditional English ale house, but with many character portraits hung around. There is also an incredible museum crammed with Jorassic Coast artefacts, some of which I can only describe as startling. Outside seating is made from other monumental prehistoric stone slabs and the like. It is certainly worth a visit, even a detour.

Today there was more super cliff walking and a view of pretty Chapman's Pool, a favourite overnight anchorage for passing yachts. The SWCP from Kimmeridge Bay to Lulworth was closed because it is part of a military firing range and I had to walk inland. There has been an incident where a ricochet shell went through a church roof!

I'm in stu at the YHA in Lulworth, but have opted for a meal in the local Castle Inn.

Photos to follow if poss.
