Grange-over-Sands - The Prom

Thursday walk with Pete - 17th May 2018

A  stroll down the prom at Grange-over-Sands at this time of year on a sunny day is a good choice - on the landward side the local authority, years ago, established an attractive bed of flowering shrubs stretching about a kilometre, and now so well established and maintained it is sheer delight, especially with Morecambe Bay on the other side, so all in all a worthwhile trip today.

Was doing a bit of browsing regarding tents the other day - came across the expression "unisex tents" - what's that all about?

  1. I don't want to be either too pedantic or partisan, but the SLDC had absolutely nothing to do with the planting or upkeep of the prom. flora - indeed ,they fought tooth and nail not to let the local activity group take over - and then had the usual stalinist liberal effrontery and arrogance to claim it was all their idea and that they facilitated the resident user group and the town council taking on the task. S.....ts.

Unisex tents - doesn't matter which side you sleep on, you still get your . . . or xxx

  2. gimmer - thanks a lot for that. Shouldn't jump to conclusions. It looks like there is all that debate welling up again about the outdoor pool.
