I'm afraid I've been exceptionally negligent in commenting again lately. I compose a reply in my head for almost all of your posts, but then put off the typing until I have a proper keyboard in front of me ... and that's where the process falls apart. I have, however, been reading and enjoying all of your adventures and look forward to more of the same in 2019.
And, as an expression of hope and of childish delight, an imaginary stocking, knitted in green with red hoops. For me it's a slice of well-cooked brisket dating back to the time when brisket didn't command ludicrous prices. When life was, I suppose, less complicated but actually less rewarding. Though we weren't to know.
All the best Conrad. We’re looking forward to your adventures in 2019 although I haven’t read your blog posts of your last trip yet. I will catch up when we get home from sunny Spain.
Phreerunner - Thanks, and you too take care! All the best to you and yours for 2019.

Gayle - I'm not sure which phone you are using these days. I find typing on my iPhone 6 easier than the IPad - the predictive text seems to work better. All the best for 2019 to you and Mick.

RR - I remember the brisket well, but more from Leylands Lane than GT. I have tried to do it myself since but never seem to achieve quite that result that Mother did.

Alan R - All the best you both for 2019. Thanks for your comments.
All the best for 2019, Conrad. Do take care...
