Lives of great men will remind us
We can make our lives sublime
And,departing, leave behind us
Footprints on the sands of time.
Footprints, that perhaps another,
Sailing o’er life’s solemn main,
A forlorn and shipwrecked brother,
Seeing, shall take heart again.
Longfellow
----------------------
I saw a jolly hunter
With a jolly gun
Walking in the country
In the jolly sun.
In the jolly meadow
Sat a jolly hare.
Saw the jolly hunter.
Took jolly care.
Hunter jolly eager-
Sight of jolly prey.
Forgot gun pointing
Wrong jolly way.
Jolly hunter jolly head
Over heels gone.
Jolly old safety catch
Not jolly on.
Bang went the jolly gun.
Hunter jolly dead.
Jolly hare got clean away.
Jolly good, I said.

Looks good for my forthcoming walk.
ReplyDeleteIs that an Android app or have you found an IOS one?
ReplyDeleteAlanR - It is on my iPhone and iPad so I reckon it's IOS. I have used BlogPress before but it now seems to have stopped allowing photos from one's "i" device. I transfer photos from camera to iPad via Bluetooth so I can use them in the blog. When I get home I download photos from camera to my Apple computer.
ReplyDeleteThanks. I cannot find an iOS app but may be looking in the wrong place. Can you give me a bit of info or is it just blogger for phone.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure. I've had it for ages on iPhone and iPad. Is it not in iTunes Store? I am out in the village at the moment so not so easy to do research.
ReplyDeleteI cannot find anything in iTunes Store. I can guess you are busy with getting ready for the off. Don't worry about it I will have a dig around. You enjoy the weather and I hope it lasts for you.
ReplyDeleteAlan R - replied by email. blogger app is on App Store. They claim yo be only app supporting photos from your "I" device.
ReplyDeleteI assume this is BlogPress Conrad. It works on my iPad but I can't get it to do so on my iPhone.
DeleteAfoot - no Gibson. It is Blogger. I can't get BlogPress to do photos from my my iPad. I sent Alan R a link to the Blogger app in App Store and I will forward that to you by email.
ReplyDeleteAfoot - have just sent it but see you have three email addresses. Let me know if you want it to go to a different one.
ReplyDeletePlease tell Katie her boots are the bomb!
ReplyDeleteThe Crow - will do. Not heard that expression before but I will put it into my collection - not sure what RR would think about it.
ReplyDeleteThe message will go on the next post card I send to K - sending her post cards has become a regular feature of my long walks
I think it means "extraordinarily cool." I especially like the stars on the navy background.
ReplyDeleteI can only imagine what RR might say! :)
